What is Qigong?

Qigong (pronounced Chi Gong) means "life energy cultivation" or in modern-day language, bio-electricity that is continuously being generated in the body through the bio-chemical reaction through food and air assimilation. Qigong is traditionally seen as a method to regulate and  and balance one's life force or electrical energy which in modern times, we now understand as our body's bio-electrical magnetic field. The practice involves a gentle rhythmic movement, focused breathing, and concentrated awareness. Qigong is a safe and gentle meditative exercise that promotes healing of the mind and body. If you want to do something really nice for yourself and improve your health at the same time, this gentle form of healing may be just what you're looking for. Take a look at this introductory video where you'll see just how rewarding this practice can be. If you feel you would like to try it first, give me a call for an introduction, or sign up for private or class instruction.  If you have questions, you can call  at:  541-324-6128 or use the contact link and email me.
